This inexplicable location for a falls out on the high plains on the slopes of the Black Hills will amaze with the energetic source of water that doesn't freeze easily. The total vertical drop at this location is about 20 feet. This waterfall is located along SD Hwy 71 south of Hot Springs, SD at J. H. Keith Cascade Falls picnic area in the Black Hills National Forest. There is ample parking during summer with restrooms, picnic tables, and developed trails with steps and viewing platforms. You will be in Mike Canyon along Cascade Creek with high plains and the Black Hills visible for miles in all directions. While your visiting the falls, have a crack at the Cascade Falls Geocache by Acid Rain.
