The former Olivet Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg was built in 1929. It served the faithful of the area for about 80 years. however, as with many traditional churches in this area, attendance began to wither after reaching peaks in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Those that used to call Olivet home were moving to the suburbs and to newer churches.
Eventually, the decision was made to close Olivet and sell the asset.
A local ministry, Fountain Gate Church and Ministries, has taken up residence and spreads the Good Word to the faithful.
