I must admit I had to do a second look when I first came across this wonderful piece while exploring along the Susquehanna in Harrisburg's downtown area.
The piece, by sculptor Seward J. Johnson Jr. looks exactly like a businessman waiting for the bus or another person while reading the Evening News, Harrisburg's daily. Created out of bronze and steel, the piece was completed in 1985. In 1992 it was donated to the city of Harrisburg. In 2017 it was removed and returned to the artist's studio where it underwent an extensive 3 month restoration.
There is an identical piece (other than thr newspaper) on display in Sydney, Australia.
