Impressive monument to those citizens from Pennsylvania who died during the Mexican War of 1846 - 1848. It is located on the southwest portion of the State Capitol grounds in Harrisburg.
It is made of marble, and seated on a granite base. The monument features a winged Victory perched atop a fluted column and seated on a marble base, surrounded by four eagles. The front inscription reads:

COMMEMORATIVE OF HER CITIZENS
WHO LOST THEIR LIVES
DURING THE MEXICAN WAR OF
1846, 47 & 48
