Built in 1910, this runabout has a wooden frame and wooden axles. Note the hand crank in front and the bulb powered horn. Must have been a challenge to drive, shift and sound the horn. It was retired in 1920. Legend has it that the chief was annoyed when a boy on a bicycle beat him to the fire. It served the volunteers of the town of Owensville, Indiana.
