The 100 Mile House Free Press was established in 1968, providing local and regional news. A copy of the newspaper can be acquired through local retailers. The 100 Mile House Free Press shares a small stripe mall with Dr. Jonathan Visscher, a dentist, and Brand Source Furniture Store.

No longer an independent newspaper, the 100 Mile House Free Press is one in the stable of six area newspapers operated by the Black Press Group. Outside the area, Black Press publishes dozens of newspapers in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Hawaii and California. The 100 Mile House Free Press continues to publish a print newspaper and has added an E-Edition, as well.
