Wolfram von Eschenbach was a German knight and poet, called a Minnesinger. He is regarded as one of the greatest epic poets of medieval German literature.

A statue of the poet is part of Berlin's Richard Wagner Monument Main Belt Asteroid 9909 Eschenbach was discovered on March 26, 1971 by by Dutch astronomers C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld and named after the poet.
