The Krupinski Launch Facility is located at Shades Beach Park in Harborcreek Township along the southern shore of Lake Erie in northwestern Pennsylvania. Named for 1st Lieutenant Raymond Krupinski, a Harborcreek native who died in combat in the Vietnam War, the launch was constructed in 2007, redesigned in 2012, and dedicated in 2013. The launch includes three ramps and a breakwater that shelters the launch area from waves. The park also has a beach, wooded hiking trails, picnic pavilions, and a playground.
