Schliersee, a town named by the adjacent lake, is situated in the beginning of the northern alps and is a lovely holiday and recreation town. In Summer, you can do swimming and hiking, in winter all sorts of winterpsorts. So like many german tourist cities, Schliersee has a recreation park at the lakeshore and also a public giant chess board.
