Long Description:
On Cooke County road 327, a couple miles southeast of Myra, TX, is the abandoned 140-foot, umber-colored steel Pratt through-truss bridge spanning the Brushy Elm Creek (Elm Fork of Trinity River).

The trees are growing through the formerly used bridge. A new concrete bridge just a few feet away serves traffic, now.

A 1902 USGS map shows a bridge over the creek. There are two extant pilings that appear to predate this through-truss bridge on the NE bank, opposite the present bridge.
Length of Span:
140 feet

Visit Instructions:
Log your find with a picture of the bridge with yourself or your GPS in the foreground. This shot does not have to be taken "on" the bridge. The shot should show the "truss" structure of the bridge as well.
