This point is named in recognition of the extensive and extrarordinary community service of Harry Kingston.
Harry Kingston demonstrated leadership by coaching and mentoring others.
From the time of his diagnosis of scleroderma-associated Pulmonary Hypertension in 2012 until his passing in 2017, Harry served as a dedicated board member of The Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada. Harry was also recognized among the most senior and experienced members of Toastmasters International as an active volunteeer with the organization for 49 years.
Volunteering with the Ottawa Police Service as Watch Coordinator for the Centrepoint Neighbourhood Watch program serving as Chair of the Ottawa Neighbourhood Watch Executive Committee and contributing as an active member of the Crystal Beach Lakeview Community Association, Harry Kingston made a difference wherever he went.

Il a été un membre dévoué du conseil d'administration de l'Association d'hypertension pulmonaire du Canada de 2012, année où il a reçu son diagnostic d'hpertension pulmonaire associée à la sclérodermie, jusqu'à son déces en 2017. Il c'est également investi pendant 49 ans auprès de Toastmasters International, et était reconnu comme l'un de ses membres les plus anciens et les plus expérimentés.
Que ce soit en tant de bénévole auprès du Service de police d'Ottawa comme coordonnateur de la surveillance pour le programme de surveillance du quartier Centrepointe, comme président du comité exécutif de ce programme à Ottawa, ou comme membre actif de l'Association communautaire de Crystal Beach/Lakeview, Harry Kingston a immanquablement laissé une trace indéléble.
