Le principe est bien connu des passionnés de randonnées cyclotouristes : à chaque point-nœud, c'est-à-dire à chaque croisement du réseau, se situe un panneau numéroté qui indique la direction à prendre en fonction de la balade choisie. Ils peuvent ainsi se composer des circuits sur mesure ; l'objectif étant de répondre à la demande croissante des familles, enfants, jeunes actifs, adultes, seniors... plus communément appelés des « vélotouristes ». Ce réseau va leur permettre de circuler sans carte, sur des milliers de kilomètres. Inutile d'être chevronnés pour en profiter, cette initiative offre plusieurs possibilités de parcours pour tout type de public : promenade en famille, itinéraire pour les plus sportifs ou randonnée de plusieurs jours ; il y en aura pour tout le monde !

Il sera connecté aux régions frontalières (Limbourg belge, Limbourg néerlandais, réseau « Vélo Tour », réseau de la Basse Meuse) et prendra appui sur la colonne vertébrale qu'est le réseau RAVeL.

It will be connected to the border regions (Belgian Limburg, Dutch Limburg, the "Vélo Tour" network, the Basse Meuse network) and will rely on the backbone of the RAVeL network.
