The chimney or what is left of it, is a free standing chimney breast and stack. It would appear at some stage there had been a tenement attached the existing building, since been demolished. There is evidence of a pitched roof on the brickwork.
Given that the whole row of premises have shop fronts and it is common place to have shops grouped together.
Given the chimneys location and size I would suspect that this premises was originally or at some stage been a bakery and that the chimney was where the ovens were.
