The ruins are of the biggest engine house in Victoria.The pumping engine's building had beam walls 2 metres wide and 79 metres long, the walls rested on foundations 5 metres deep. The pumping engine could raise 2000 litres per minute or 3 million litres a day. Over the course of it's life the mine yielded over 216 000 ounces of gold.
