Excerpt from plaque: "In the mural, are five members of a pioneer family, pausing at the end of the day in the early spring. The background scene shows a sod shack, dug well, and a west Texas mesa sprawling at the foot of ragged native hills. Signal Mountain is unmistakably shown in the background."

The Courthouse is open Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except for holidays).
