The south facade facing Little Malop Street was completed in 1855 and has five Greek Ionic columns flanked on either side by a pair of plain-faced pilasters with Corinthian capitals.
The east and south fronts were completed in 1913-1917 to the original design featuring a Classic Greek Revival facade
The Town Hall is also one of the oldest in Victoria, having served continuously as the centre of local government in Geelong since 1856.
