You will see this fountain in the cloistered garden of Wallenberg Square, behind Christ Church Cathedral.
In 1944, during the Second World War Raoul Wallenberg played a key role in issuing Swedish passports, organizing safe houses and providing shelter, food and medicine for about 33,000 Jews.
By the end of 1944, with the help of other diplomats, he was able to free hundreds of people from the 125-mile 'death march'.
He was imprisoned and declared dead by the Soviet government. Today, he is remembered as someone who saved more Jews during the war than any other government.
