Marine lake is a boating and fishing lake in New Brighton close to Brighton Beach. The anchor is close to a slipway on to the lake and faces nearby Fort Perch Rock, a former defensive fort situated at the mouth of Liverpool Bay in New Brighton. It was Built in the 1820s to defend the Port of Liverpool.
The anchor is leaning on a low concrete block with the anchor chain hanging down to the floor.
