A 12' high granite monument, designed by George E. Brown and sculpted by the Hawkes Brothers, marks the grave of Sgt. Alonzo P. Stinson. The monument contains a bronze medallion with the portrait of Sgt. Alonzo P. Stinson, a bronze plaque, and is topped with a sculpture of a bedroll.
The bronze plaque is inscribed:
