Based on a Google Streetview image from 2013, the black has now turned grey, but the reds, greens and yellows are still bright enough.
Kernal Peanuts is the largest grower of peanuts in Canada. These cute elephants welcome you to their farm. Peanuts were introduced to Ontario in the 1980s and are only grown in the southerly part of the province. In the 1980s and 90s the tobacco industry took a huge hit because of societal change in smoking habits and government policies. The sandy soil in this part of Ontario is perfect and the climate is warm enough.
Your Visit: I was touring the area by bicycle. It was a beautiful sunny morning and this beauty caught my eye.
