Cock O' the Walk Bar & Grill opened in 1960 with a neon sign to draw customers. Over the years, the sign deteriorated. In 2010, the property manage and bar owner wanted to restore the sign, but local sign restorer Travis Griffin decided it would be more cost efficient to start from scratch, hand-crafting the new sign to produce an exact replica of the original. It was installed March 20, 2011.
