This bench in honour of Edward Corteen can be found in the Kirk Maughold Churchyard. The bench is on the right of the churchyard entrance when entering the churchyard from the village.
This dark-coloured wooden bench has a horizontally slatted seat and a vertically slatted backrest. It also has two armrests.
The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
"IN MEMORY OF
MR EDWARD CORTEEN
PRESIDENT OF CASTLETOWN BREWERY
MANAGERS AND TENANTS ASSOCIATION
1970 - 1990"
The bench is so positioned that it faces across the churchyard towards the entrance to the church through the east bell-gable.
