The Monument Plaque reads:
"Die "Michaeliskapelle", vor 1800 erbaute sogenannte "Ollenkamper Kluse", wurde 1981 vom Aschendorfer Heimat- und Bürgerverein restauriert.
Der Rokoko-Altar mit dem Altarbild (Christi Geburt) und die Statuen (Erzengel Michael, Maria mit Jesus und Johannesknaben auf der Konsole und Caritas, 1731) stammen aus der ehemaligen Hauskapelle Altenkamp, die vom Kurfürsten Clemens August gegründet wurde.
Die Michaelis-Klause ist heute Kriegergedächtnisstätte für die Toten und Vermissten des I. und II. Weltkriegs."

"The "Michaeliskapelle", built before 1800 so-called "Ollenkamper Kluse", was restored in 1981 by the Aschendorfer home and civic association.
The Rococo altar with the altarpiece (Nativity) and the statues (Archangel Michael, Mary with Jesus and John Boys on the console and Caritas, 1731) come from the former chapel Altenkamp, which was founded by the Elector Clemens August.
The Michaelis-Klause is today a war memorial place for the dead and missing persons of the I. and II. World war."
