A leaning, canti-lever, timber structure, with dual saw blades has been utilised as the Clock Tower for Corryong. It has been financially supported by the Corryong and District Rotary Club. It is quite impressive to look at as you are walking towards the Imformation Centre.
I don't think that the structure is solid timber, but rather the timber that is used creates two, off-set, long boxes, and is bolted and strapped together. The lower part is leaning at about 65° degrees, while the arm supporting the two saw blades is at about 20° to horizontal. There are 12 fixing points near the centre of the blades, but probably not there originally. There are four Arabic numbers in copper: 3, 6, 9, and 12. With copper-coloured inverted triangles for the supplementary positions of five minute spacing. Each blade had 54 teeth, so not quite suitable for the minute ticks. The hands are similar in design, being white-painted, tapering, with a central crease. It was running on time when I was there on New Years Eve 2018.
