The mural is painted on the east wall of a two-story brick building at 101 W. Main in downtown Jones occupied by Jones Drug Store. The mural was painted by students in the Jones High School Art Department. There are seven names shown in the left hand corner of the mural.

The mural shows open grassland typical of this area of early Oklahoma Territory. In the distance you can see buffalo, horses and a small farm. In the forefront, there is a horse and rider with a second horse, and a driver of a small wagon drawn by two horses. A dog is walking alongside. In the lower right corner, a beautiful Redbud tree is shown - the State Tree of Oklahoma.
