Lake Pleasant is on the far NW side of the city. The major road to the dam was realigned, cutting off and abandoning a section of 87th Avenue. This grey metal marker is embedded in a short column of concrete on the north side of the old road. Stamped in the disk is Arizona D.O.T. Hwy. Div. Flat R.M. 1. Beneath that is an arrow with a line through it. The arrow points to a number 1. Below that is 1976 with P. & M. Geodetic Survey on the bottom.
