According to the on-site plaque, this type of architectural style was popular in Utah in the 1910s. It's not large but took four years from start of construction to end because of interruptions created by World War I. The first church service was held on June 30, 1918.

It operated as an LDS church for 27 years. In 1943, the LDS church sold it to the Red Cross Society. In 2012, the Red Cross sold it to a private company who has renovated the building into residential units. The building looks today like it did in 1918.
