Large bronze marker affixed to a boulder at the entrance to the community playground and civic complex in Lansdowne.

The marker acknowledges the start of the Third Millennium, and goes on to specify the nearby memorial grove of Red Maples in honour of the occasion. It also commemorates the establishment of the new Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, created through Ontario municipal reform actions at the end of the last century.

Marker is easily accessible from the nearby parking lot and by sidewalk.
