The Burrard Dry Dock pier extends some 200 metres | 650 feet into Burrard Inlet. At the end are two free binoculars that give the visitor a close-up view of Downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet, Stanley Park, and some of the North Shore Mountains.

The Burrard Dry Docks was the location of a shipbuilding factory. In recent years it has been converted into residential housing, restaurants, and a local tourism place to explore. To help visitors get a close-up view of many of the sights around Vancouver Harbour two free binoculars have been sited at the end of the dry dock.
