František Palacký (14. cervna 1798 Hodslavice – 26. kvetna 1876 Praha-Nové Mesto) byl ceský historik, politik, spisovatel a organizátor verejného kulturního a vedeckého života v soudobé Praze.
Autorem busty byl sochar Josef Wagner, slavnostne odhalena byla v roce 1926.
Pod bustou na podstavci je nápis "Otci národa". Celý podstavec je poté z kamenu.
František Palacký (June 14, 1798 Hodslavice - May 26, 1876 Prague-New Town) was a Czech historian, politician, writer and organizer of public cultural and scientific life in contemporary Prague.
The author of the bust was sculptor Josef Wagner, was unveiled in 1926.
Under the bust on the pedestal is the inscription "Father of the Nation". The whole pedestal is then made of stones.
