"The Petroleum and Natural Gas Museum is dedicated to the regional production of crude oil and natural gas from the 1940s with numerous exhibits, displays and pictures. At that time, during a drilling in Dalum, Emsland, crude oil was found in economically viable quantities. From these beginnings, the Emsland, but also the neighboring county of Bentheim and the Dutch province of Drenthe, developed into important European funding regions.
