The cenotaph was erected in 1980 by Royal Canadian Legion Vauxhall Branch 193. The three column monument has a phrase from Flanders Field on the left, a "Lest We Forget" message in the middle and a commemoration of the Province of Alberta's 75th anniversary on the right.
