Work of art birdhotel near picnic place at Stokkersbrug in Eibergen a small city in the eastern parts of the Netherlands near the German border.

The nature reserve at this place is approximately 10 hectares. There is a picnic area and in the shelter a lot of information is given about animals and plants that live here. The intention was to build here a land-art work inspired by the beautiful surroundings. This became the bird hotel.
The bird hotel was designed in September and October 2016 by artist Mirjan Koldeweij, together with pupils from the IKC Juliana primary school.
At the bottom it is a boat, above it a bus and the whole is covered with lily leaves.
In the windows at the front a bird looks outside and you see the like it thumb.
The youngest students designed the colorful center: fronts of bird houses as a series of brightly colored paintings. Every student used its own imagination.
