While this looks like a regular Southern Cross water-pumping Windmill, there has been a sheet of corrugated iron used for the vane to swing the head to the best position for wind-catching. The lettering of 'Southern Cross' is rather faded, so I assume certainly older than 50 years, but by the lack of rust, less than a 100 years old.
It is set behind a light-green painted, fibro house, over a concrete surrounded hole. Available 24/7 from the fence-line.
