[FR] C'est une page d'histoire qui se tourne. La chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, de Beugné-l'Abbé, va fermer définitivement ses portes. Elle vient d'être mise en vente par la paroisse, après 60 ans de bons et loyaux services.
En 1930, un hangar servait de salle de patronage et de catéchisme. En 1942, cette salle devient oratoire public. En 1944, Marie Thomas donne un terrain pour bâtir une chapelle. La construction commence en 1955. En septembre 1959, une foule de plusieurs centaines de personnes, selon un paroissien de l'époque, assiste à la bénédiction de la chapelle et à la messe solennelle célébrée par Mgr Cazeaux. Outre le terrain pour sa construction, la chapelle a bénéficié de nombreux dons pour les croix, autel, tabernacle…
Le 11 octobre 1959, une procession aux flambeaux accompagne l'intronisation de la statue de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, qui donne son nom à la chapelle. En 1963, est installée une cloche. La chapelle restera un lieu de culte, d'abord régulier, puis par rotation avec les autres églises des Magnils, Chasnais et Lairoux, lors de la refonte des paroisses. Pour des raisons pastorales, 60 ans après son ouverture, la chapelle est fermée au culte en 2009. Depuis, elle a subi des actes de vandalisme.
Fin 2012, Mgr Alain Castet signe le décret de désaffectation. Construite après la loi de 1905, la chapelle n'appartenait donc pas à la commune ni à l'État, mais bien à la paroisse. Le conseil économique de la paroisse a décidé, début 2013, de s'en séparer. L'ensemble du mobilier sera proposé aux autres communautés locales de la paroisse et à l'évêché. Vitraux, cloche et croix seront gardés en vue d'une nouvelle affectation religieuse. « Nous avons appris la vente par un courrier de la paroisse », indique le maire, Jeanne-Marie Pasquier. La commune n'a, pour l'instant, pas étudié la possibilité, ni l'intérêt, de se porter acquéreur.

At the end of 2012, Monsignor Alain Castet signs the Decommissioning Decree. Built after the law of 1905, the chapel did not belong to the commune nor the state, but to the parish. The economic council of the parish decided in early 2013, to separate. All furniture will be offered to other local communities in the parish and to the bishopric. Stained glass, bell and cross will be kept for a new religious assignment. "We learned the sale by a parish courier," says Mayor Jeanne-Marie Pasquier.
For the moment, the municipality has not studied the possibility or interest of becoming a buyer.
