Located mere meters from the Cabot Tower atop of Signal Hill, with commanding views of St John's and the harbour to one side and the vast north Atlantic ocean to the other. With the Tower and viewscape fighting for the attention of visitors, one wonders how many have stepped upon this brass disk without even noticing it? Still, the disk is easy to find if you are looking for it. Find the corner of the tower that faces the harbour. The disk is set flush with the ground level, close to the corner of the tower
