Cette œuvre date début des années 1860, lors de la construction de la gare de Namur selon les plans de l’architecte Lambeau.
Ici est représenté ce qu’on appelle la petite armoirie avec en dessous l’inscription de la devise Belge : L'union fait la force.
Rechts van de façade van het station van Namen vindt u het Belgische wapenschild, gebeeldhouwd in witte steen.
Dit werk gaat terug van het begin van de jaren 1860, toen het station van Namen werd gebouwd volgens de plannen van de architect Lambeau.
Hier wordt het zogenaamde kleine wapenschild voorgesteld met daaronder de inscriptie van het Belgische leuze: Eendracht maakt macht.
