This is a beautifully maintained Church. However, as it doesn't have a resident priest/vicar, the Vigil Mass is held at 6pm on Saturdays.

While there are baptismal records of the area going back to 1864, with 'regular' priestly ministrations from 1875 to 1904 at 'nearby' Lyttleton, and then 1905 to 1908, when this Church opened in January 1908. (visit link)

At the centenary of the Bemboka Catholic Church, in January 2008, a book was launched on the history: "A Journey in Faith - St Colomba's Church. A Century of Catholic Life in Bemboka".
