Aan het begin van de oprijlaan naar het kasteel (aan de Veerstraat) staat de Nepomukkapel, genoemd naar de Tsjechische heilige Johannes Nepomuk, die als beschermer tegen de gevaren van het water wordt gezien. De kapel stamt uit 1737 en is daarmee ouder dan het restant van het huidige kasteel. De douarière gravin Van den Bergh-Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen heeft de kapel opgericht ter vervanging van de oude kapel op het kasteelterrein zelf. Die oude kapel werd in de eerste helft van de achttiende eeuw afgebroken, bij de verplaatsing van de toegang tot het kasteel van het noorden naar het westen.

At the beginning of the driveway to the castle (on Veerstraat) is the Nepomuk Chapel, named after the Czech saint Johannes Nepomuk, who is seen as a protector against the dangers of the water. The chapel dates from 1737 and is therefore older than the remains of the current castle. The douarière countess Van den Bergh-Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen established the chapel to replace the old chapel on the castle grounds themselves. This old chapel was demolished in the first half of the eighteenth century, when the access to the castle was moved from the north to the west.
