There are 6 bells in the tower at St. Mary's, unfortunately in need of restoration before they can be rung again.
The current status can be seen from the website at (

"Having moved to Highley in 2016, I was asked to lead on the restoration work, and subsequently asked if I would take on the role of Churchwarden. At the time of writing we have no second Churchwarden which makes the post onerous, especially as we are trying to deliver major restoration work in parallel with the normal running of the church.
I was brought up in a family worshipping in the United Reformed Church, but switched allegiance to the Church of England in the early 1980’s. I like to ring bells and was tower captain for two churches in Gloucestershire for about 12 years; I hope that the Highley bells can be brought back into service at some time. As a retired Civil Servant and Chartered Surveyor I have a long interest in rural matters, planning and buildings."
