Long Description:
The San Diego Museum of Art was built in 1926 as a gallery of fine arts on the site of the Sacramento Valley Building, built in 1915 and demolished in 1924.

The museum houses a vast collection particularly rich in Spanish art with works by Murillo, Zurbarán, Cotán, Ribera and El Greco.
