Het stadhuis van Gennep werd tussen 1612 en 1620 gebouwd door Willem van Bommel uit Emmerik in de Neder-Rijnse renaissancestijl. De opvallende verschijning met de achtkantige traptoren staat aan de Markt. Het oude stadhuis wordt tegenwoordig nog gebruikt als raadszaal en trouwlocatie.
Het stadhuis in Gennep werd in 1950 opgeleverd. De toren met de koepelvormige bekroning kreeg extra luister: men bracht er een carillon met vijfentwintig klokjes van de firma Petit en Fritsen uit Aarle-Rixel in aan.

The town hall of Gennep was built between 1612 and 1620 by Willem van Bommel from Emmerich in the Lower Rhine Renaissance style. The striking appearance with the octagonal stair tower is on the Markt. The old town hall is nowadays still used as a council hall and wedding location.
The town hall in Gennep was completed in 1950. The tower with the dome-shaped crown received extra luster: a carillon with twenty-five bells from the company Petit and Fritsen from Aarle-Rixel was added to it
