The plaque reads:
Cst. COBBLE joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on July 1, 1937, serving in 8 detachments from B.C. to Ontario, his duties included the Musical Ride and Dog Master. He was posted to Vegreville Detachment in 1945.
On the evening of December 3, 1946 Cst. COBBLE was conducting traffic duties on Hwy 16 near Lavoy. He was standing roadside when he was hit by a truck. He was rushed to Vegreville hospital but died from his injuries the following morning.
He made the ultimate sacrifice performing a job he loved serving the people of Canada.
