Roadside ArchitectureThe Brunson Theatre was designed by Leon C. Kyburz and opened in 1949. It closed in the mid-1980s and the interior was gutted. In 1997, the city bought the theatre with plans to turn it into a performing arts center. The sign was removed in 2018. In 2019, a new blade sign was installed with backlit plastic letters with an electronic message board marquee below. The interior will be used as a visitors center and business space."
