The late Robert E. Dean has left his mark on this part of Oklahoma; his sculptures are found throughout Medicine Park and Lawton. This sculpture of a bison, entitled "Bison latifrons," is east of the entrance to the Great Plains Museum in Lawton. The plaque reads
