WWI memorial tablet in St Botolph and St John The Baptist's church, Croxton Kerrial. Consisting of a wall mounted grey marble backboard with triangular-headed pediment, surmounted by a white marble tablet also with a triangular-headed pediment. The tablet is further supported at its base by two corbels. There is a cross at the apex of the tablet, beneath which, is a decorated marble block surmounted by a projected carving of the head & face of Jesus. At each of the top corners is a square marble boss with a flower head in relief. A horizontal brown marble dado rail wraps around tablet beneath a pediment & below this, is the incised inscription area, with infilled lettering in black & all enclosed by a moulded brown marble border.

AS A MARK OF GRATITUDE TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE CAUSE OF JUSTICE
AND RIGHT IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918.
