From the whatpub website:-
"Formerly named the "New Inn" in 1851, the pub received its licence as a beer-house in 1839 It was rebuilt at the turn of the 19th century when under the long tenure of the Bache family when it became one of Highley’s institutions.

It's central location on the village High Street makes it a popular venue, especially at weekends. Two large rooms either side of the front entrance off the High Street.

The large enclosed garden with children's play equipment is popular with families.
