The Midwest City Library is located at 8143 E. Reno Avenue in a 36,000 square foot brick building located behind the fire department headquarters. A library was first established in Midwest City in 1955, and the library joined the Metropolitan Library System in 1965. The current building was constructed in 1987.
The library has a full list of services. They have computer use, internet and wi-fi facilities, as well as copier and faxing. They have a quiet reading room, and meeting rooms for various activities, which include adult literacy classes, and classes in guitar, crafts and yoga. They have online services, and a drive-thru book drop-off.
