Unlike nearby PIER 15, this benchmark is not listed in the provincial (COSINE) or federal (Passive Control Networks) database. In 1987, a row of whitewashed concrete pillars was created to establish a local high-precision 3D geodetic calibrating baseline. There is a circular steel plate on the top of each pillar. Markings identify each pillar. This pillar is PIER 13A.

PIER 13A is between the Waterfront Trail and the road to the St Lawrence Power Development Visitor Centre.
Unique Designation: PIER13ACORNWALL

Marker Type: Concrete/Metal Post

Condition: Good

Visit Instructions:
To post a log for any benchmark, a photo will be required. When visiting any site please respect any private property rights that may exist. Given the number and age of the benchmarks, they may not be all accessible or even exist at this time.
