A wooden-clad, cuboidal 'box' sits atop a slightly tapered wooden trestle stand that has cross-bracing. The roof over the bell is pyramidal slate-covered, with a finial spike for the peak. There are Gothic-arched openings to the sides, and the wooden louvers over the openings reminded me of a Stevenson Screen (meteorological/weather station). From the centre of the floor beneath the bell is cord that hangs to about 120 cm from the ground.

To the side of the Bell Tower, on the concrete base, is a bronze plaque, which has the following transcription:

ST JOHN'S CHURCH, BEGA
This Bell Tower, which was first erected
in 1874, was restored October, 1979,
in memory of
CHARLES ALFRED (CHIPPY) ROSE
1897-1969, Verger of St John's Church,
Bega 1957-1969. It was re-dedicated 11th
November, 1979, by the right Rev'd. N. J.
Chynoweth. The inscription on the bell
reads "William Blews and Sons, Founders,
Birmingham 1874. Angelus Custos +."
